First Run Features: EAMES: The Architect and the Painter.

On 18 November, present both in Los Angeles and New York‘s first documentary film about the famous couple Charles and Ray Eames “Eames: The Architect and the Painter”. Architects and designers, the Eames considered  as the most important designers of the twentieth century in America.

This is the first film dedicated to the marriage of Charles and Ray Eames, primarily known for its half-century furniture, the Eames Office created an incredible variety of products: photography, interiors, multi-media presentations, graphics, games, movies (all remember “Power of Ten“) and more. Their proposals and designs using innovative materials such as plywood or fiberglass cover a range of proposals. A massive production of material, mostly unpublished, which has served to flesh out this documentary directed by Jason Cohn and Bill Jersey and narrated by James Franco.
